The first non song show I've seen Bete Tete play, and my favorite. I hope they do more instrumental sets as the evenings performance was a well paced wash of droning and evolving tones, easily recalling a more restrained Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream or Emeralds. A happy surprise was seeing the ever capable Donovan Quixote sitting in with the band, coaxing a layer of warmth from his Moog Prodigy into the fray.
I can listen to improved , droney sound collaging like tonights set for hours. I hope it was recorded.
